What's happening
According to the applicant's own planning documents, the proposed development includes a large-scale data centre at the Cardiff East Park and Ride site, a temporary on-site energy centre (gas-powered generation plus standby diesel generators) while a permanent electricity connection is awaited, and a facility designed to operate continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. New infrastructure is proposed close to the River Rhymney, alongside environmental mitigation measures covering ecology, air quality, noise and landscaping.
